Elmhurst University Athletics

Tom Riess was named Elmhurst's Athlete of the Year for three consecutive seasons, a record that continues to stand today. Riess starred on the track team and was named the team's MVP during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. He led the team in points scored during his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons as well.

Riess also was a two-year starter for the football team and led the squad in interceptions as a junior and senior.

He was also a three-year starter on the men's basketball team.
