Elmhurst University Athletics

Wellman, former baseball coach and athletic director, came to the College in 1972. As the head coach of the Elmhurst baseball team, Wellman guided the Bluejays to five CCIW titles and a pair of CCIW runner-up finishes. His teams reached postseason play in six of his 10 seasons (Four trips to the NAIA Tournament and two to the NCAA Tournament).
