Wrestling at 177 pounds, Guderley was a two-time NCAA National Championship Tournament qualifier, and was also honored twice as an Academic All-American. During his sophomore and junior seasons, Guderley average 30 victories on the mat and was the CCIW champion. He compiled a career-winning percentage of .686 (95-43-2) and his 95 career victories place him fifth in Bluejay record books. When he graduated in 1989, Guderley was Elmhursts' record holder for takedowns, both for one season and for a career.
