Belonging and Inclusion Statement

Elmhurst University Athletics strives to recruit exceptional student-athletes and develop them into leaders on our campus and in our community. As leaders, our department encompasses Elmhurst’s principles of diversity, inclusion and responsible citizenship while affirming our collective responsibility to be respectful of the rights and interests of others.

Bluejay Athletics is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that provides an educational and work environment for its student-athletes, coaches and staff free from any discrimination based on gender, gender identity, race, national origin, sexual orientation or any other defining characteristic. We strive to ensure that our student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans feel safe in our facilities, at our contests and as part of our teams. In order to foster an environment that has a place for each person, Elmhurst University and Bluejay Athletics, provides educational opportunities on diversity and inclusion for students, faculty and staff on an annual basis through the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
