Athletic Training Internship (1)

Job Description: Elmhurst University Athletics is seeking an Athletic Training Intern. The Athletic Training Intern reports to the Director of Sports Medicine. The position is responsible for assisting the Director of Sports Medicine as well as the Assistant Athletic Trainers in daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Daily responsibilities are including, but not limited to, team hydration, supply inventory, and maintaining an organized athletic training room.
  • Perform routine office functions such as typing, filing, and copying.
  • Assist in pre-competition set up, competition overview, and post-competition take down.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to guide student-athletes to the appropriate healthcare provider.
  • Demonstrate inclusive behavior when interacting with staff, faculty, students, and visitors to the University.
  • Commitment to learning athletic training techniques, such as various tapings.

Athletic Communications Internship (Multiple)

Job Description: Elmhurst University Athletics is seeking an Athletic Communications Intern. Working in conjunction with the Director of Athletic Communications, the Athletic Communications Intern will assist with the day-to-day tasks in the Athletic Communications office. The Athletic Communications Intern will gain hands-on experience in everyday tasks of a Sports Information Director such as record keeping, game recap writing, website updates, stat keeping, and various other tasks as assigned. 

Responsibilities
  • The selected candidate will be assigned to at least one (1) varsity sport at Elmhurst, where primary responsibility will be writing game recaps, updating player biographies, stat keeping.
  • Updating player biographies on website during sports seasons.
  • Attendance at home athletic events where intern is needed.
  • Uploading photo galleries to athletic website.
  • Posting updates on athletic programs on social media pages.
Requirements
  • Ability to learn Sidearm Sports website backend.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Commitment to learning about sports information role. 
  • Demonstrate inclusive behavior when interacting with staff, faculty, students, and visitors to the University.
  • Must be a student of Elmhurst University.

Athletic Communications Marketing/Game Presentation Internship (Multiple)

Job Description: Elmhurst University Athletics is seeking an Athletic Communications Marketing/Game Presentation Intern. Working in conjunction with the Director of Athletic Communications, the Athletic Communications Marketing/Game Presentation Intern will assist in creating and executing marketing plans for the athletic department, in addition to directing in-game presentation at home athletic events. 

Responsibilities
  • Creating a marketing plan to promote all 20 varsity sports at Elmhurst in conjunction with the Director of Athletic Communications. 
  • Utilize various platforms to promote athletic contests and department, such as email marketing, social media, mobile app, etc.
  • Assist in execution of in-game promotions and control of music, video boards, PA scripts, etc.
Requirements
  • Ability to learn Sidearm Sports website backend.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrate inclusive behavior when interacting with staff, faculty, students, and visitors to the University.
  • Marketing background is preferred.
  • Must be a student of Elmhurst University.

Athletic Communications Creative Internship (2)

Job Description: Elmhurst University Athletics is seeking two (2) Athletic Communications Creative Interns. Working in conjunction with the Director of Athletic Communications, the Athletic Communications Creative Interns will assist in creating and executing creative assets to promote all 20 varsity athletic programs at Elmhurst and its student-athletes. The Athletic Communications Creative Interns will be responsible for creating video, photo, and graphics content for use on Elmhurst Athletics' social media channels.

Responsibilities
  • Creating various graphics for use on social media channels in conjunction with Director of Athletic Communications.
  • Utilizing Canon camera to capture in-game photos and videos at home athletic events.
  • Editing photos and video in post-production for utilization on Elmhurst Athletics website and social media channels.
Requirements
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, Premiere Pro is required.
  • Prior experience creating graphics and photo/video content is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrate inclusive behavior when interacting with staff, faculty, students, and visitors to the University.
  • Must be a student of Elmhurst University.
