MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS
At Elmhurst University Athletics, we value taking care of our student-athlete's mental health and wellness. This page is here to serve as a source of information and a way to get connected to services related to mental health and wellness to assist our student-athletes in their performance both on and off the field of competition. Please note that all information on this page is meant to be informational and should not be used to make any diagnoses.
Elmhurst University provides a highly trained team of professionals, comprised of Licensed Clinical Psychologists, Masters-Level Counselors and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. The EUCS offers a variety of services to help students manage their mental health and make effective life choices. Elmhurst University’s counseling staff provides a multitude of services including individual therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, psychiatric consultation and treatment, and workshops.
All students meet with a counselor for an initial assessment. At this meeting, the counselor will work with the student to determine if the services at EUCS best meet the student’s needs or if a community referral would be more appropriate.
All EUCS appointments are free of charge and included in tuition.
All EUCS services are private and confidential, except in very limited circumstances as authorized or required by law. Counseling records are not part of the student’s academic record.
Appointments are required. Please call (630) 617-3565 to make an appointment. Office hours for the EUCS are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
