Elmhurst University Athletics

Led by the future Bluejay Backer Hall of Fame quartet of Therese Dorigan, Melanie Hollander Moore, Michelle Greaves Rathbun and Gail Williams True, the Elmhurst College women's volleyball team compiled a 40-9 record in 1987 and played for an NCAA Division III National Championship for the third time in five years. The Bluejays were coached by Jaye Flood, who compiled a 96-34 record (.740 winning percentage) in three seasons. Team members include: Dorigan, Hollander Moore, Greaves Rathbun, Stephanie Miszewski Dabrowski, Laurie Austin Flanagan, Carmi Frankovich, Natalie Ganser Holder, Lori Farrey Kulczycki, Diane Price Scents and Nancy Tuhy, all '88; Sandy Harris, '89; Williams True, Liz Breitzman, Taren Carney, Dawn Moore Radford and Kelly Freund Sullivan, all '90; Keelie Guttridge Jones, Cynthia Kafka, Jenny O'Donnell, Blair Perkins and Melissa Gumina Schmidt, all '91; Melissa Schroeder Bensen and Christine Kilbride McGovern, both '92; Renee Bremburg Moberly, Kateri Weibler Nippert and Carol Rider; Assistant Coach Kipp Williams; and Student Managers Ai Hatanaka Ohara and Jason Miller.
