Rick Lamas finished his collegiate career as Elmhurst's all-time winningest wrestler. A two-time national championship qualifier at 157 pounds, Lamas earned All-America honors during the 2005 season by placing fifth at the NCAA Championships despite wrestling while being injured. Lamas captured CCIW Championships at 157 pounds in 2004 and 2005 and was named the league's Most Outstanding Wrestler in 2004. During the 2005 season, he helped the Bluejays capture their first-ever CCIW Championship, earn a top-10 national finish, and tied an Elmhurst single-season record for wins by posting a 38-7 record. He finished his career as Elmhurst’s all-time leader in wins with a 112-45 record.
