Elmhurst University Athletics

Ludwig was an outstanding athlete. A 1980 graduate, he was a standout pitcher who held records for most career wins at 19, innings pitched at 230 and the best ERA for a single season at 0.30. He was a captain his senior year and was a three-time first-team All-CCIW player. He also played on two CCIW championship teams.

While at Elmhurst, Ludwig lettered four times in baseball and three times in basketball.
