A first-team all-conference selection and third-team Pizza Hut All-American in 1985, Bob Sanfilippo's name appears in multiple places in the Bluejays' record book.

Sanfilippo finished his career ranked third in career rushing yardage with 1,889 years (now ranks fourth). He also ranked fifth in carries with 291 (now ranked 12th). His 6.5 yards per carry career average continues to rank third all-time in Elmhurst football history. He also ranks seventh in career rushing touchdowns with 15.

Sanfilippo set an Elmhurst single-game record by rushing for 235 yards on 23 carries against North Central College in 1985. That record stood for over 10 years before it was broken.
