Scottie Williams rewrote the Elmhurst College football record book taking home NCAA Division III's top-honor in the process.

A star running back for the Bluejays, Williams was a four-time all-conference selection and became the first Elmhurst player in school history to win the Gagliardi Trophy, the award that recognizes the most outstanding football player in NCAA Division III. In his senior season, Williams was named the CCIW's Offensive Player of the Year and set new single-season Elmhurst records for rushing yards (2,046) and rushing touchdowns (22). He averaged 170.5 rushing yards per game, ranking second in the nation in the process and spared Elmhurst to the NCAA playoffs for the first time in school history. He was named a first-team All-America from the American Football Coaches Association, the Associated Press, D3football.com and the Beyond Sports Network.

Williams shattered Elmhurst's career rushing record with 5,023 yards, eclipsing the previous mark by more than 1,600 yards. He broke Elmhurst's single-season rushing record for three consecutive seasons and continues to hold three of the top four single-season rushing performances in school history. He also established new career records for rushing touchdowns (50) and points scored (332). He finished his career ranked second as the CCIW's second-leading rusher with 3,057 yards against conference opponents.

Williams, who earned a tryout from the Chicago Bears following his senior season, was also a star in the classroom, taking home first-team Capital One Academic All-America Honors in 2011.
