An American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) First-Team All-American in 2002, Amanda Fark has etched her name all over the Elmhurst College record book. Fark earned a pair of first-team all-conference honors and was named the league's Player of the Year in 2002.
During the 2002 season, Fark was named an AVCA National Player of the Week and was the MVP of the CCIW Tournament. She narrowly missed an NCAA Tournament record for kills by smashing a whopping 42 kills (as of 2009, the record is 45) in the Bluejays' tournament win over St. Norbert's College.
In 2002, Fark established single-season records for kills in a season (684), kills per game (4.78) and attempts (1,649). She closed out her career ranked third in kills with 1,509, and eighth in digs with 1,048. Her 3.60 kills per game average continues to be an Elmhurst all-time record.
In Fark's four seasons with the squad, the Bluejays compiled a 131-28 record (.824), claimed three CCIW titles, and lost only a combined three CCIW regular season and tournament matches. The Bluejays also made three NCAA Tournament appearances.
Fark, who also earned academic all-conference and academic all-district honors in her career, was named Elmhurst's Female Athlete of the Year for the 2002-2003 season.
