Richard Williams lettered four years in baseball and one year as a freshman in football. He was named to the first-team All-CCIW in baseball his sophomore, junior and senior years and was an NAIA honorable-mention All-District selection his senior year. At the end of his career, Williams was tied for third for the most home runs in a career with 15 and tied for second for the most home runs in a season with 4. Upon his graduation, Williams continued to coach at Elmhurst for two seasons.
