Elmhurst University Athletics Hall of Fame
A three-time all-conference basketball player, Henry Ellis ranks as one of Elmhurst's best interior players in school history.
Ellis earned honorable mention all-CCIW honors during the 1977-78 season while averaging 9.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Ellis averaged 10.0 points per game during a limited sophomore season before earning second-team all-conference honors while averaging 11.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest during his junior year.
Ellis averaged 12.2 points and a team-best 7.6 rebounds per game during his senior season in 1980-81 while earning his second straight second-team all-conference honor. The 1980-81 season was the first season that Elmhurst registered blocked shots, with Ellis setting a single-season record of 66 that still stands today.
