A three-time all-CCIW selection, Juan Quesada played a key roll in the resurgence of the Elmhurst football team from 2000-2003. A jack-of-all-trades, Quesada starred at two different positions in his career.

He began his career at quarterback, earning the starting nod as a freshman. In 2001, Quesada led the team in rushing and earned second-team all-conference honors while setting an NCAA single-season record for most rushes by a quarterback and an Elmhurst single-season record for rushing attempts with 242 carries.

In 2002, Quesada moved to wide receiver and quickly excelled, earning back-to-back second-team all-conference recognition. In just his second game at the position he set a single-game reception record by catching 13 passes for 184 yards (the fourth-highest single-game yardage total in school history). He finished the 2002 season by setting an Elmhurst single-season record for receptions with 67.

After just two seasons as a wide receiver, Quesada closed out his career as Elmhurst’s all-time leader in receptions with 118 (now ranks third).

He accounted for 33 touchdowns in his career (14 rushing, 11 receiving, eight passing) and currently ranks sixth in career rushing attempts (413), and eighth in career receiving yardage (1,323).

Quesada finished his career with 1,087 total rushing yards, 1,323 receiving yards, and 2,237 passing yards. He is believed to be one of the few (or possibly only) players in NCAA history with over 1,000 career rushing and receiving yards, and 2,000 passing yards.
