Box Score AURORA, Ill. - The Elmhurst lacrosse team fell to 2-5 overall following a 29-2 loss at Aurora University.
Aurora (7-3, 4-0 MLC) dominated the game from start to finish, outscoring the Bluejays 27-2 over the first three periods.
The Spartans scored the game's first nine goals before the Bluejays cracked the scoeboard at the start of the second period.
Tyler Dailey fired home a shot to break the Spartans' nine-goal run. Aurora answered back by scoring 10 straight goals to lead 19-1 at the half.

Ben Porter assist to account for Elmhurst's final goal. The Spartans scored the final nine goals to earn the 29-2 victory.
Aurora outshot Elmhurst 66-12 in the contest, including a 41-3 advantage in the first half. The Spartans also had a 38-26 edge in ground balls.
Elmhurst struggled to hang on to the ball, committing 34 turnovers in the match. The Bluejays were also only 19-of-31 in clear attempts. Elmhurst was also 0-for-7 in extra-man opportunities.
Tyler York recorded 23 saves in goal for Elmhurst while taking the loss.
Aurora's Garret Rosiek totaled 15 points, scoring three goals and adding 12 assists. Danny Loyall tallied five goals for the Spartans.
Elmhurst hosts Benedictine University next Wednesday (April 10) at 7:00 p.m.
