Box Score ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Elmhurst lacrosse team fell to 2-9 overall following a 14-2 road loss at Augustana.

Augustana (9-2, 6-2 MLC) scored the game's first nine goals to open up a 9-0 lead at the half. The Vikings outshot the Bluejays 24-7 in the opening half.

The Vikings opened up a 13-0 lead in the second half before Elmhurst cracked the scoreboard. John Fiedler scored his fifth goal of the season with 2:45 left in the fourth period. Tyler Dailey added his 12th goal of the season with 32 seconds left on the clock to make the final score 14-2.

Augustana outshot Elmhurst (1-6 MLC) 44-20 for the contest and enjoyed a 40-30 edge in ground balls.

Tyler York recorded 12 saves in goal for the Bluejays.

Augustana's Scott Davis scored four goals while Jesse Nagelberg netted three goals and tallied two assists. Colin Haley added two goals for the Vikings.

Elmhurst hosts Carthage College on April 24.
