Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Elmhurst men's lacrosse team's two-game winning streak was snapped in a 14-4 road loss at Transylvania University.
Transylvania (7-4) scored the game's first eight goals and led 10-2 at halftime before pulling away for the 14-4 win.
Elmhurst (2-4) was outshot 44-19 in the loss, including a 14-0 deficit in the opening period. Transylvania finished the game with a 48-25 advantage in ground balls and also won 16-of-21 faceoffs.
Ben Porter led the Bluejays in the loss with a pair of goals and three ground balls.
Mal Euson and
John Fiedler also registered goals for the Bluejays while
Tyler Zaremski tallied an assist.
Ben Irwin powered Transylvania with five goals and two assists while Clay Douthat, Sam Ives and Evan Wright added two goals apiece.
Tyler York took the loss in the cage for the Bluejays, allowing 14 goals while recording 14 saves and six ground balls.
The Bluejays play at Auora University on April 3.
