NAPERVILLE, Ill. -Â
Eli Spence and
Charlie Ferree of the Elmhurst University men's lacrosse team swept the weekly awards from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) this week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
Spence earned offensive student-athlete of the week honors after tallying five total points in the Bluejays' win over Oberlin College last Saturday. Spence scored a pair of goals to go along with three assists in the game, while also grabbing one ground ball in the contest. Spence earns his second career weekly honor from the conference after being named the CCIW's offensive student-athlete of the week on Feb. 21, 2023.
Ferree earned his first career weekly honor from the conference thanks to a pair of caused turnovers and a trio of ground balls against Oberlin while also scoring his first collegiate goal in the game. Ferree also continues the stretch of four-straight Bluejays to earn defensive student-athlete of the week honors this season.
The Bluejays are back in action this Wednesday, March 13, on the road at Benedictine University for a 7:00 p.m. faceoff.
