ELMHURST, Ill. – Four members of the Elmhurst University men's lacrosse team have earned postseason accolades from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.

Ryan Camarata, Ben Luke and Noah Mickelson were all named to the second team all-conference squad while David Castaneda was tabbed as Elmhurst's CCIW RESPECT award-winner.
 
Camarata, a senior defender from San Diego, Calif., earned the second consecutive second-team all-conference honor of his career. He finished the season with 19 caused turnovers, the second-highest total on the squad while also totaling 20 ground balls, two goals, one assist and three points. Camarata and the Bluejays' defense limited opponents to a .258 shooting percentage and a 9.90 goals against average. 

Luke, a junior attacker from North Bend, Wash., earned the second straight all-conference honor of his career after earning first-team accolades in 2021. Luke finished the season with a team-leading 51 goals. He added 14 assists and finished with the second-highest points total on the squad with 65. His 51 goals scored this season ranks as the fourth-highest single-season total in school history. His 124 career goals ranks as the third-highest total in Elmhurst history. In CCIW contests, Luke ranked fifth in the league in goals per game, averaging 2.50. 

Mickelson, a freshman goalkeeper from Mattawan, Mich., earned all-conference honors in his first season with the team. After taking over the starting goalkeeper duties, Mickelson posted an 8-4 record in goal to go along with a 9.66 goals against average. He tallied 192 saves and a .617 saves percentage. Against CCIW opponents, he led the league in saves per game, averaging 15 per contest. His 192 saves is the third-highest single-season total in school history and his .617 saves percentage is a single-season Elmhurst record. 

Castaneda, a senior defender from Corona, Calif., was named as Elmhurst's CCIW RESPECT award-winner. Castaneda started 15 games on the Bluejays' defense, totaling 13 caused turnovers and 40 ground balls. He ranked third on the team in both caused turnovers and ground balls. Castaneda was part of an Elmhurst defense  that limited opponents to a .258 shooting percentage and a 9.90 goals against average. 

Each CCIW school selects a RESPECT Award recipients that have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. 
 
Elmhurst finished the 2022 season with a 10-6 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the CCIW.
