Box Score ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's soccer team won its fourth straight contest by shutting out Westminster College (Mo.) 3-0 at Langhorst Field.
Elmhurst (6-2) dominated the game from start to finish, outshooting Westminster 29-5 in the contest.
The Bluejays wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as
Shelby Stone netted her third goal of the season just 2:50 into the match. Stone connected off a feed from Courtney O'Keefe to put Elmhurst on top. Elmhurst made it 2-0 just before the half as
Emily Heimerdinger tapped in a pass from
Biba Beckwith with 1:37 left before halftime.
Elmhurst tacked on an insurance goal in the 71st minute as
Jackie Belmonte scored on a rebound for her second goal of the season.
Emily Gordon and
Olivia Schoch shared the shutout in goal for Elmhurst. The Bluejays' defense did not allow a shot on goal for the entire game.
Elmhurst has now won its last four games by shutout, outscoring its opponents 9-0 in the process.
Elmhurst kicks of CCIW play on October 2, by traveling to North Central College.
