RIPON, Wis. - The Elmhurst University women's soccer team traveled to Ripon, Wis., to face off against Ripon College on Wednesday, Sept. 16, adding another shutout to their record.
The Bluejays wasted no time opening the first half with a connection from Courtney Conlon to Lauren Nevins for the first goal of the evening at 18:10. Elmhurst continued pressure with Nevins scoring for the Bluejays to expand the lead 2-0.
Elmhurst (5-1-0) added two goals in the second half. Maddie Cummings scored off a pass from Alaina Clark at 62:06, Calli Edwards rounded out the evening with a connection from Nevins for a shutout 4-0.
The Bluejays outshot Ripon (1-3-0) 23-5 and held a 15-4 edge in shots on goal. Goalkeepers Erin Fitzharris and Sequoia Ross made two saves apiece to combine for the shutout.
Up Next: The Bluejays return to Langhorst Field to face the University of Olivet on Saturday, Sept. 19. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.
