KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Elmhurst University women's soccer team earned the No. 7 spot in the latest NCAA Division III Region VIII Coaches Poll, released by the United Soccer Coaches (USC).
The Bluejays enter the regional rankings with a 4-1-0 record after opening the 2026 season with four consecutive shutouts. Elmhurst is one of four College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) programs represented in the Region VIII poll.
Elmhurst has also established itself as one of the CCIW's top offensive teams early in the season, leading the conference in shots on goal per game (12.20). The Bluejays' offensive pressure has helped fuel a strong start that included four consecutive shutout wins, a start the program not seen.
Elmhurst opened the season with back-to-back 2-0 victories over Beloit College and St. Norbert College at Langhorst Field. The Bluejays followed with a 1-0 shutout over Manchester University, before taking their first road trip of the season to Elsah, Ill. where they defeated Principia College, 6-0. Elmhurst faced its first nationally ranked opponent of the season on Sept. 13, falling on the road to No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis to move to 4-1-0 on the year.
The Bluejays return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 16, when they travel to Ripon College in Ripon, Wis. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. from Hopp Stadium.
