NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Elmhurst College's Jake Austin has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

Austin was the top individual finisher for the Bluejays in last weekend's Eagle Invitational hosted by Benedictine University. Austin placed second in the 1,500 meters by crossing the finish line in 3:53.94. Austin's time is currently the top 1,500 meters time in the CCIW and it currently ranks eighth nationally.

Austin earned all-CCIW and all-region honors during the cross country season. He also qualified for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.
