ELMHURST, Ill.- Seven Elmhurst University student-athletes have been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The honor recognizes student-athletes who have excelled both in competition and in the classroom during the academic year.
Five women and two men represented Elmhurst on this year's list, led by graduate students Alyssa Busker and Lauren Marshall, who both turned in nationally elite seasons.
Busker, a graduate student in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a 3.67 GPA, completed one of the most decorated seasons in Elmhurst history. She earned five NCAA First Team All-America honors in 2025 and currently holds school records in the 55m, 60m, 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay. She ranked second nationally in both the indoor 60m (7.45) and outdoor 200m (23.62), and helped Elmhurst's 4x100m relay team to a No. 1 national ranking (45.61). Her accolades include Elmhurst Female Athlete of the Year, USTFCCCA Midwest Region Track Athlete of the Year, and multiple conference titles.
Marshall, an MBA student with a 3.80 GPA, was also a standout sprinter and jumper, earning NCAA All-America honors in the 60m, 200m, long jump, and 4x100m relay. She ranked in the top 10 nationally in the indoor long jump (5.83m) and was a key member of Elmhurst's nationally ranked relay squads. A multiple-time All-Region and All-CCIW performer, she helped Elmhurst win titles in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
Also earning Academic All-District honors on the women's side were junior Molly Roberts, senior Nakala Nadeau, and sophomore Anna Andretich.
Roberts, a 4.00 GPA student majoring in elementary education, consistently contributed across middle-distance and distance events. She recorded regional top-50 marks in six events throughout the year, including the indoor mile (5:15.16) and outdoor 5,000m (18:36.76). She also earned CCIW Elite 26 honors in both indoor and outdoor track and field, honoring the all-conference student-athlete with the highest GPA at the conference final.
Nadeau, an exercise science major with a 3.74 GPA, was one of the top hurdlers in the region, ranking fifth regionally in the 60m hurdles (8.85) and third in the 100m hurdles (14.25), both of which ranked in the national top 30.
Andretich, a pre-nursing major holding a 3.71 GPA, was one of the team's most versatile athletes. She earned regional top-50 rankings in eight events including hurdles, high jump, triple jump, and the heptathlon, where she scored 3,826 points in the outdoor season.
On the men's side, junior Logan Turney and sophomore Kayton Garrett each secured spots on the Academic All-District Team.
Turney, a computer science major from St. Charles, Illinois, held a 3.61 GPA and was one of the region's top pole vaulters. His season-best of 4.80 meters ranked seventh in the Midwest Region and 28th nationally.
Garrett, an economics and management major with a 3.62 GPA, was a multi-event standout in the jumps. He ranked as high as 14th regionally in the indoor long jump (6.89m) and appeared in the top 30 regionally in three additional events including the triple jump.
To qualify for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and rank in the top 50 regionally in at least one event.
