Jays earn six victories at Squig Invite

WHITEWATER, Wisc. – Elmhurst Track & Field celebrated six victories over the weekend, as the Jays competed at the Squig Converse Invite, hosted by Wisconsin-Whitewater on Friday and Saturday.

The Bluejays picked up three wins in the field events, highlighted by Chloe Selmer's performance in the women's triple jump. Selmer cleared a personal-record 11.68m (38' 3.75") to place first in the event, and improve her mark to No. 7 nationally in Division III.

In the women's long jump, Paulina Tinajero earned her third win of the season, and seventh of her career with a jump of 5.68m (18' 7.25"). On the men's side, Logan Turney took his second pole vault win of the indoor season, and the 12th win as a Bluejay, defending his title at the Squig Invite from last year. Turney cleared 4.71m (15' 5.5") to earn the win.

A pair of Bluejay sprinters won their respective events, with Tiana Grady in the 60m Hurdles, and Carmela Woods in the 400 meters. Woods clocked in at 58.23 to take the top spot, while Grady ran an 8.92 to improve her rank up to No. 14 nationally.

Elmhurst also picked up their first relay win of the season, with the combination of Grady, Violet Schramm, Woods, and Samantha Martens leading the Jays to a win in the 4x400m Relay, with a time of 4:04.26.

In addition, another 19 personal records were set throughout the weekend, including:
