LISLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's track and field team scored 16 points to place 14th at Benedictine University's Eagle Invitational.

Jake Austin was the top individual finisher for the Bluejays. Austin scored eight points by placing second in the 1,500 meters. He crossed the finish line in 3:53.94.

Mark D'Angelo turned in a strong showing in the 400 meters. D'Angelo scored four points for the Bluejays by placing fifth with a time of 49.16 seconds.

The Blueajys' 4x100 relay squad scored four points by placing fifth.

Other top-10 finishes included Doug Vrchota in the steeplechase and Sean Tews in the javelin and discus. Vrchota completed the race in 10:17.94, good for ninth place. Tews recorded a mark of 38.41 meters in the discus to place 10th and added a throw of 44.27 meters in the javelin, good for 10th place.
