CHICAGO, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's track and field team totaled 41 points to bring home an eighth-place finish at the University of Chicago's Ted Haydon Invitational.
The Bluejays totaled first place finishes in three events and scored 15 points in the 400 meters.
Mark D'Angelo won the 400 meters, breaking the tape in a time of 50.39 seconds.
Kurt Kibler finished three spots behind D'Angelo in the 400, bringing home a fourth-place finish in 50.92 seconds.
Jake Austin finished first in the steeplechase, winning the race with a time of 9:29.32 to score 10 points for the Bluejays.

Kyle Kibler, Austin and D'Angelo scored a first-place finish with a time of 3:27.61.
Doug Vrchota tacked on three points in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:01.88.
Thomas Cooper scored the team's final three points by placing seventh in the discus with a toss of 36.70 meters.
Elmhurst will return to the University of Chicago to compete in the Chicagoland Championships next Saturday (April 7).
