ORLANDO, Fla. - The Elmhurst College women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 setback to George Fox University in Orlando, Fla.

George Fox (3-7) swept the six singles matches and took two of the three doubles matches en route to the win.

In doubles play, Elmhurst's duo of Stephanie Ruff and Jordyn Hoover fell 8-5 to Molly Beaumont and Shaina Inn at No.1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles, the Bluejays' tandem of Kayla Mangiapane and Jennifer Guenther dropped an 8-2 decision to Alyssa Emoto and Cara Griffith. Elmhurst (1-10) scored its only point at No. 3 doubles when Nicole Darga and Emily Tarlini stopped Alissandra Wittrig and Bethany Nguyen by an 8-6 score.

In singles play, Beaumont downed Ruff 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles while Emoto toppled Darga 7-6, 7-2 at No. 2 singles. Hoover fell 60, 6-1 to Inn at No. 3 singles while Mangiapane fell to Griffith (6-2, 7-6) at No. 4 singles. Chantelle Hadeed downed Tarlini 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles. Ragan Wilson fell in three sets to Marissa Chau at No. 6 singles (4-6, 6-3, 6-3).
