DECATUR, Ill. -Â The Elmhurst University women's tennis team fell, 1-5, to Millikin Tuesday afternoon on the road.
The Bluejays almost forced a doubles split, with
Mia Merrell and
Olivia Grabowski falling, 5-7, to allow the Big Blue to grab the doubles point.
In singles play, the Bluejays had a default win at No. 5 singles, while No. 6 singles was not played due to low player numbers for each team. With the score tied 1-1, Elmhurst would fight to come back in singles play. Grabowski bounced back from a 6-2 opening set loss to force a third with a 6-4 win in set two, but fell in the tiebreaker, 10-6.
Elmhurst finishes the fall season with an 0-13 record, and an 0-8 mark in CCIW play.
