DECATUR, Ill. – The Elmhurst University women's tennis team concluded its 2025 spring season with a hard-fought effort in the CCIW Tournament play-in match, falling to Millikin University, 3-0, on Friday morning at the Fairview Tennis Center.
In singles, Stone led the way at the top spot, putting up a strong fight in the first set against Markus before ultimately dropping a 6-2, 6-0 decision. Webb followed at No. 2 singles, gaining momentum in the second set but falling 6-0, 6-2 to Mullins. Hasan turned in her most competitive singles performance of the season at No. 3, battling to a 6-0, 6-4 final against Ross and nearly forcing a third set.
The most promising performance of the day came at No. 4 singles, where Alvarenga stormed out to win the first set 6-3 and was tied in the third before the match was left unfinished due to the match outcome being clinched.
