NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Elmhurst running back
Scottie Williams has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Williams earned the honor for his part in Elmhurst's 43-36 win over Millikin University. Williams ran for 235 yards for the second time in four games and scored three touchdowns in the Bluejays' victory. He carried 30 times for 235 yards and scored on touchdown runs of two and 38 yards. He also caught three passes, including a nine-yard touchdown reception in the win.
Williams has run for over 120 yards in each of the last five contests and has eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark in just his seventh game of the season.
Williams was also named to D3football.com's National Team of the Week for the second time this season.
Elmhurst (4-3, 2-2 CCIW) travels to North Central College on Saturday (October 29).
