ELMHURST, Ill. – Elmhurst Football and head coach Mike Heffernan has announced the addition of Jacob Dopsovic to the Bluejay coaching staff, who will serve as the team's offensive line coach this fall.
Dopsovic comes to Elmhurst with over a decade of coaching experience, at various levels throughout college football. Most recently, Dopsovic was the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at Siena Heights University (Mich.), where under his guidance the Saints finished among the top 25 in the NAIA in passing yards, and rush yards per attempt.
Previously, Dopsovic coached for two seasons at Division II Central State (Ohio), as the Offensive Line Coach as well as recruiting and academic coordinator. The Marauders had their best season in 25 years during his time there and recorded the team's longest win streak since 1997 during his tenure.
Dopsovic also brings Division III experience to the Bluejays, with stops at SUNY Morrisville (N.Y.), King's College (Pa.), and Alvernia (Pa.), as well as time in Division I, serving as an assistant coach for three seasons at Campbell (N.C.).
A native of Allentown, Pa., Dopsovic is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University, where he earned a degree in Sports Management.
