With time winding down in the first overtime period, Wesley collected a pass from Erin Baschen and lofted a shot over Principia goalkeeper Mel Stein's head and into the upper left corner of the net, giving Elmhurst the win.

Elmhurst (4-1), ranked 10th in the latest NSCAA Central Region poll, outshot Principia 13-6, but the Bluejays were unable to convert scoring chances in both the first and second halves.

Principia's (1-2) best scoring chance came in overtime, but Allison Korbel fought through traffic to grab the loose ball in the box coming off a free kick.

Korbel earned her third shutout of the season in net for Elmhurst, stopping both shots that she faced. Stein took the loss in goal for the Panthers, despite allowing just one goal. She recorded eight saves in the contest.

Elmhurst hosts Saint Mary's College (Ind.) at Berens Park on Wednesday, September 15.
