Oster was named the College's Male Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season after earning his fourth consecutive All-America honor in wrestling. Oster earned All-America distinction by placing third in the nation in the 125-pound weight class at the NCAA Division III Championships. He finished the season with an 18-6 overall record and captured his third-straight CCIW title at 125 pounds.

Oster closed the book on an outstanding career by becoming Elmhurst's first four-time All-American in wrestling. Last season, he posted a perfect 27-0 record while becoming the first Bluejay grappler to win a national championship. He finished his career with a record of 97-20, recording the fifth-highest win total in Elmhurst history. He also tied a school record by winning 11 individual tournament titles in his career.

"Jake Oster has helped put the Elmhurst wrestling team on the map as a national power," said Elmhurst head coach Steve Marianetti. "He is hands down the best wrestler to ever put on an Elmhurst singlet."

The Bluejays placed 14th at the 2010 NCAA Championships, marking the third time the team had finished among the top-15 (eighth-place in 2008 and seventh place in 2009) teams in the nation while Oster was a member of the squad.
