ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's soccer team bested Millikin University 3-1 on Sunday afternoon to improve to 2-1 in th CCIW. 

The Bluejays opened the scoring early in the match as Valerie Wesley netted her fourth marker of the season to finish a long run on a breakaway in the fourth minute. Courtney Constantino extended the lead to 2-0 by converting on a penalty kick in the 32nd minute.

Sarah Harvey made it a 3-0 lead for the Bluejays in the 75th minute with her fourth tally of the year, deflecting a feed from Kelsey Caldwell off Millikin netminder Cristin Callis and into the back of the net. The Big Blue tallied their lone goal in the 86th minute when Megan Schroeder finished a cross from Allison Horne.

Each team finished with 12 shots in the contest. Jessica Eberle stopped five shots in goal for Elmhurst, who improved to 6-4 on the season.

The Bluejays will travel to Illinois Wesleyan University on Wednesday for a 7pm contest.
