AURORA, Ill. – The Elmhurst University men's golf team earned a ninth-place finish on Tuesday at the Spartan Double Gun, hosted by Aurora University at the Aurora Country Club.

Captain Bo Smith led the way for the Bluejays, shooting a 152 (+8) through 36 holes to finish in a three-way tie for 22^nd place. Anay Saxena followed closely behind, finishing in a six-way tie for 25^th place with a 153 (+9).

Brandon Yeh, playing as an individual, recorded rounds of 80 (+8) and 77 (+5) to earn 45^th place along with seven other competitors. Brandon Sweeney joined four other golfers in  53^rd place with a two-round total of 158 (+14).

Lachlan Bowen and Mason Stieler both shot 161 (+17) across both rounds to secured 66^th place, a position they shared with seven other golfers.

Noah Krebs carded back-to-back rounds of 91 to finish 105^th with a 182 (+38).

Elmhurst posted a team score of 623 (+47), finishing ahead of two conference opponents.

Up Next: The Bluejays travel to Hartford, Wis. for the Wisconsin Luther College Fall Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 13. Action is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. from Washington County Golf Course.
