HARTFORD, Wis. – The Elmhurst University men's golf team placed seventh on Sunday at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Fall Invitational at the Washington County Golf Course.
Bo Smith paced the Bluejays, firing off rounds of 70 (-2) and 75 (+3) to earn a share of seventh place with one other golfer with a 145 (+1).
Mason Stieler shaved five strokes off his first-round score, 77 (+5), to his second-round score, 72 (E), to finish in a two-way tie for 20
th place, 149 (+5).
Anay Saxena and
Brandon Sweeney were consistent across both rounds, shooting 77 (+5) and 81 (+18) respectively in round one and round two. Saxena finished the invitational in a four-way tie for 39
th place with a 154 (+10), while Sweeney shared 73
rd place with four other competitors.
Lachlan Bowen rounded out the Bluejays top five with a two-round total of 170 (+26) to finish in a three-way tie for 90th place.
The Blue and White posted a team score of 610 (+34), after shooting back-to-back rounds of 305 (+17).
