ROCKFORD, Ill. – Elmhurst Men's Golf posted their best conference finish in nine years, earning a fifth-place result at the CCIW Men's Golf Championships, held this week at Aldeen Golf Club.

The Bluejays finished the first of three rounds in fourth place, shooting 307, then matched their score in the second round on Tuesday to fall to 6th in the nine-team field. On Wednesday, Elmhurst posted a 301 to climb into the top five for the first time since 2017.

Evan Daniels led the way for the Jays, finishing T-12th on the individual leaderboard with a final score of +11. Daniels shot under par in the final round with a 71, including three birdies and an eagle on the front nine.

Bo Smith and Brandon Yeh both placed T-15th at 13-over par, with a low round of 74 (+2) for Yeh in the first round, and a score of 75 (+3) on Wednesday for Smith.
