ELMHURST, Ill. – Elmhurst Track & Field sophomore Chloe Selmer earned her first career CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week honor on Wednesday, after her performance at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Squig Invitational.
Selmer earned the win in the women's triple jump, clearing a personal-best 11.68m (38' 4"). The mark improves her standing nationally, up to 8th in Division III and second in the CCIW.
The Jacksonville, Fla. Native also secured a podium spot in another event, taking 3rd in the women's long jump, with a mark of 5.58m (18' 3.75").
On the season, Selmer has finished no worse than third in any event, with three wins and four second-place results in a total of eight appearances.
Next up for Selmer and the rest of the Bluejays is the Illinois Wesleyan Keck Invitational, held on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 6-7 in Bloomington, Ill.
