ADDISON, Ill. - Lorrie Decker, a senior member of the Elmhurst University women's bowling team, qualified for the Intercollegiate Singles Championship (ISC), finishing second at the Addison Sectional Friday afternoon.

Decker becomes the first Bluejay women's bowler to qualify for the national event, putting forward a six-game total pinfall of 1,351 pins to gain an automatic qualification due to her top-four finish at the sectional. A total of 24 student-athletes across the country qualified for nationals.

Sophomore Mary Graves also took part in the event, placing 32nd with a total pinfall of 1,209 pins. Teresa Dufrin wrapped up the Bluejay contingent at the event, bowling to a total pinfall of 1,009 pins.

The national singles competition will feature 24 female student-athletes vying for the title in their respective divisions April 14-16 at South Point Bowling Plaza in Las Vegas. More information will be posted on the Elmhurst women's bowling schedule page.
