Elmhurst University delivered a strong showing at the Starrag Group Warhawk Open in Addison, Illinois, finishing ninth overall in the women's varsity standings with a total pinfall of 6,768 across the qualifying block. Against a deep Tier 2 field that featured multiple nationally recognized programs, the Bluejays relied on standout individual efforts from Kylie Fiermuga and Hannah Melone, who both finished inside the top 25 of the 180-bowler field.

Fiermuga posted one of Elmhurst's most complete five-game sets of the season, rolling scores of 167, 179, 156, 181, and 203 for a total of 886, placing her 19th overall among all competitors. Her 203 in the final game marked Elmhurst's second highest single game of the tournament and helped elevate the Bluejays' final positioning.

Melone followed closely behind with another impactful performance, finishing 23rd overall with a total of 871. Her game scores of 191, 174, 184, 165, and 157 demonstrated consistency across the entire block and provided Elmhurst with a critical second anchor in the lineup.

Three additional Elmhurst bowlers contributed important scoring depth. Mary Graves placed 47th after rolling 120, 159, 149, 192, and 204 for a total of 824, highlighted by her 204 in the final game—exceeding Fiermuga for the highest Bluejay game of the event. Allison Mundt added an impactful four-game series, finishing with 135, 127, 159, and 191 for a total of 612, placing her 112th. Catalina Lafronza, competing in a three-game set, contributed scores of 155, 170, and 158 to finish with 483 and place 131st overall.

The Warhawk Open field proved highly competitive, with Mount Mercy, Judson, and Lewis finishing as the top three teams. Elmhurst's ninth-place finish positioned the Bluejays ahead of Trine, Carthage, Governors State, Davenport, Aurora, Wisconsin–Oshkosh, Illinois State, Rockford, and Rock Valley, highlighting the strength of their overall performance.

Fiermuga and Melone's top-20 and top-25 finishes, paired with strong high-game contributions from Graves, underscored the depth and upward momentum within the Bluejays' lineup. Elmhurst now looks ahead to its upcoming competitions with confidence following one of the team's most complete statistical outings of the season.

You can find them back on the lanes after the new year, hosting their second annual NCAA DIII National Invite. Traveling to Michigan, January 23-25th.
