Elmhurst Highlights Weekend with 233 Baker Game at Flyer Classic

The Elmhurst University women's bowling team finished 26th overall at the 2026 Flyer Classic, compiling 11,703 total pins over the course of the tournament. The Bluejays posted a 4-9 overall record and averaged 167 pins per game across 70 total games.

Elmhurst totaled 4,309 pins in Baker play and 4,136 pins in traditional play, adding a 1-2 record in matchplay to round out the tournament weekend. Elmhurst highlighted their first day in baker format knocking down defending conference champions Marian University with a score of 952-891 in the fourth match of the day. Their baker play, the Bluejays recorded match scores of 828, 793, 849, 952, and 887. 

During traditional play on day two, Elmhurst turned in team scores of 811, 854, 834, 838, and 799, tieing their opponent in the 9th match of the tournament. Individually, the Bluejays were led by Allison Mundt, who finishing 74th out of 171 athletes totaling 882 over five games (192, 149, 191, 194, 156), averaging 176.4 pins per game. Mary Graves in 84th place with an 855 series (133, 212, 172, 158, 180), punching out the highest game for the Bluejays with a 212 game. Kylie Fiermuga added an 843 total (168, 180, 146, 169, 180), averaging 168.6 for the weekend. Also seeing play in the second day of traditional games were, Hannah Farooqui with 827 series,  Contessa Szymczakand Teresa Duffrin.

In matchplay, Elmhurst opened against Saint Anselm College, posting games of 148, 163, 144, 160, 136, and 165 allowing them to move on to face Aurora, with a high team game of 233. The Bluejays went 4-9 on the weekend looking to build on thier season at CCIW #2 Feb. 28th, with the chance of making the conference championship for the second time in program history.
