NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Jacq Vanoni, a junior on the Elmhurst University women's lacrosse team, earned CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week honors, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
Vanoni earns her second weekly honor of the 2025 season, the only player in the conference to do so this season, after another strong week in net for the Bluejays. Vanoni totaled a .586 goals against average and .571 save percentage across two Bluejay wins last week. Against Lawrence last Wednesday, Vanoni made two saves and allowed just five goals in an 18-5 Bluejay win. In Saturday's overtime win against MSOE at Langhorst Field, Vanoni made a career-high 14 saves and helped keep the Raiders off the board in overtime.
Vanoni and the Bluejay, coming off their third-straight victory after a triumph over UW-Stevens Point on Monday (Mar. 17), continue their homestand this Sunday (Mar. 23), hosting Lewis & Clark College at 12:00 p.m. at Langhorst Field.
