The Elmhurst University women's golf team improved their team score in the second round of the 2025 CCIW Women's Golf Championship, posting a 334 to sit in sixth place through 36 holes at Metamora Fields Golf Club in Metamora, Ill. The Bluejays' two-day total of 677 marked a nine-stroke improvement from the opening round.
Emily Roberts once again led Elmhurst, carding a strong 76 (+5) on day two to climb into a tie for eighth place with a total score of 157 (+15) through two rounds. Her round was among the lowest of the day in the field, helping Elmhurst gain ground on several teams in the standings.
Laine Leonard turned in a consistent second round with an 85 (+14) to total 172 (+30) through two days, placing her in a tie for 32nd overall. Elise Nelson followed closely behind with rounds of 86 and 89 for a 175 (+34). Rounding out the Bluejay lineup, Hailey Vogt carded an 87 (+16) and 89 (+18) to finish with a 176 (+33).
Elmhurst will look to close the championship strong in the third and final round, continuing its steady climb on the leaderboard as play concludes at Metamora Fields.
