ELMHURST, IL - The Elmhurst University women's golf team closed out its 2025 fall season with a sixth-place finish at the CCIW Women's Golf Championship, held October 6–8 at Metamora Fields Golf Club in Metamora, Ill. The Bluejays posted rounds of 343, 334, and 346 to finish with a three-round team total of 1,023 (+171).
Junior Emily Roberts led the way for Elmhurst, placing 12th overall in the 49-player field. Roberts turned in rounds of 81, 76, and 86 to finish at 243 (+30), marking her second consecutive top-15 finish at the conference championship.
Sophomore Elise Nelson saved her best for the final day, shooting an 83 to finish with a 259 (+46) in 32nd place. Senior Laine Leonard followed closely behind, recording rounds of 87, 85, and 88 for a total of 260 (+47) to tie for 33rd.
Sophomore Hailey Vogt added three consistent rounds of 89, 86, and 89 for a 264 (+51) to place 38th, while first-year golfer Ava Sweeten carded scores of 94, 87, and 89 to finish at 270 (+57) and round out the Bluejays' scoring lineup in 39th place.
Senior Magen Laas also represented Elmhurst, finishing tied for 44th with rounds of 90, 91, and 98 for a total of 279 (+66).
Elmhurst showed steady improvement throughout the championship, highlighted by a nine-stroke drop between its first and second rounds. The Bluejays' sixth-place team finish capped a productive fall campaign and a promising close to the first half of the 2025–26 season.
