The Elmhurst University women's golf team turned in a solid opening round at the 2025 CCIW Women's Golf Championship, finishing the day in seventh place with a team score of 343 at Metamora Fields Golf Club in Metamora, Ill. The Bluejays remained tightly grouped on the leaderboard, just one stroke behind sixth place and within reach of several teams heading into round two.

Emily Roberts led the charge for Elmhurst, carding an 81 (+10) to sit in a tie for 18th place overall after a steady day on a challenging Metamora Fields layout. Elise Nelson followed closely with an 86 (+15), while Laine Leonard added an 87 (+16) to keep Elmhurst's scoring consistent from top to bottom. Hailey Vogt's 89 (+18) rounded out the Bluejays' scoring four, contributing to one of the team's most balanced rounds of the fall season.

The opening round showcased Elmhurst's depth and steady play, with all fourscoring golfers posting rounds in the 80s or low 90s. The Bluejays will look to build on that consistency when the championship continues Monday with the second round of play at Metamora Fields.
