Elmhurst University goalkeeper Erin Fitzharris was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Soccer Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week, marking this the fourth CCIW weekly honor of the season for the Bluejays and the first of the season for Fitzharris.
Fitzharris played all 180 minutes in Elmhurst's 2-0 win over Carroll and 1-1 draw with Millikin, recording seven saves while allowing just one goal for a 0.50 goals-against average. The sophomore stopped all three shots she faced to secure a shutout in the conference opener against Carroll and followed with four saves against Millikin to help Elmhurst remain unbeaten through the past two CCIW contests.
Through two matches, Fitzharris holds a .875 save percentage and has posted back-to-back complete-game performances, leading an Elmhurst defense that has limited opponents to just 15 shots and one goal.
Elmhurst continues conference play on Wednesday, October 8, traveling to face North Park University in Chicago, Illinois.
