AURORA, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's track and field team would partake at the Aurora University Grand Prix on Saturday, Jan. 25th.
The Bluejays would finish 10th overall out of 15 teams with 21 points, while University of Chicago (113), St. Xavier (93) and Purdue Northwest (84) would round out the top three.
The Bluejays would earn their most points in the triple jump as
Rickey Martinez would place 2nd with a mark of 13.67m,
Pierce Reinhard would place 6th with a mark of 13.17m, and Christian Doyle would place 9th with a mark of 12.87m.
In Jumps,
TJ Ellison would set a new PR while placing 5th overall with a mark of 1.84m.
Jaedon Thompson would also set a new PR with a mark of 1.6m.
In the Pole Vault, Thompson would place 8th with a mark and PR of 2.75m.
The 4x400 relay team would place 7th with a time of 3:28.31 with members consisting of
Shawn Woodall,
Jaedon Thompson, Chris Marroquin,
Zaiden Smith. The 4x200 relay team would place 8th with a time of 1:42.03 with members consisting of Gino Orestano,
Sufyan Khan,
Jordan Landau,
Harry Llobrera.
In the 60m
Pierce Reinhard would set a new PR with 7.24 seconds, and
Sufyan Khan would also set a new PR with a 7.76 second time. In the 400m
Joey Schied would set a new PR with a time of 53.58 seconds. Chris Marroquin (2:02.60) and
Michael Bailey (2:03.53) would both set new PR's. In the Mile, Nicholas Williams (4:35.60),
Eric Martinez (4:36.38), and
Christian Gleba (4:45.31) would all set new PR's.
Jaedon Thompson would set a new PR in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.70 seconds.
