Rock Island, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's track and field team traveled to Augustan College for the two day CCIW Outdoor Track & Field.
The Bluejays currently sit eighth with eight points going into day two with North Central (57), Augustana College (56.5), and Carthage College (27) sitting 1st-3rd respectively.
Logan Turney would finish 2nd and record the lone eight points for the Bluejays with a 4.78m mark in the Pole Vault event.
Many Jays continued to set new personal records as
Caleb DeBoer and
Hector Herrera would both do so in the 10,000m event., Nicholas Williams and
Preston Bailey would do so in the 3000m Steeple. In the Prelims,
James Palumbo would set a new personal record in the 800m, in the 200m
Jacob Cockrell and
Eric Jandura would both achieve new personal records, and in the 100m Cockrell, Tyreese Miller and
Jaedon Thompson would all set pr's.
Qualifiers from the Prelims on the day were,
Eric Jandura in the 100m hurdles,
Jacob Cockrell in the 200m, and
James Palumbo in the 800m.
